Ukraine's main budget for 2018: Budget for the poor in a police state
The recent exacerbation of mikhomaidan in Kyiv was nothing more than a distracting maneuver to make it easier for politicians to divide the state budget for the next year among themselves. Such a show, which took place in the capital, will not lead to any resignation of the president.
This opinion was expressed on the air of the “PolitKukhnya” program by Vladimir Bidyovka, member of the National Assembly of the DPR, as reported by the “PolitNavigator” correspondent.

“There will be no impeachment in Ukraine. There may be a coup d'état, someone may be shot or carried out feet first, but there will be no impeachment because this procedure is not fully spelled out in Ukraine. All politicians are well aware that this issue has not been resolved at the legislative level in Ukraine. Promising to introduce this bill and introducing it are two different things,” Vladimir Bidyovka is sure.
However, he noted that a much more important and significant event is not this, but the adoption of the budget for the next year in Ukraine. He believes that “this whole circus in Kyiv” was created precisely so that the budget could be easily cut:
“If you look at the budget that was adopted, it is a budget for the poor in a police state. Those who were not offended were the security forces, but they practically drove everyone else away. Yes, I don’t argue, they raised the cost of living, but based on the value of the dollar being 30 hryvnia or more. What they raised will actually be “eaten up” in a few days in the new year, he is sure.
According to Vladimir Bidyovka, the main thing is not this, but how politicians will distribute the country’s budget among themselves:
“The shadow economy of Ukraine is 1 billion 100 million hryvnia. And this is with a GDP of 2,3 trillion. In fact, 50% of the economy is in the shadows. The main thing is not the income itself, but how it is distributed: if in 2013 the poorest 10% and the richest 10% (if we take salaries), their level differed by 1 in 10, but now it is 1 in 40. For budgetary enterprises even more interesting: the difference between the lowest paid position and the highest paid is 1 in 100. This is an order of magnitude higher than it was before the revolution. The poor become even poorer, the rich become even richer. This revolution did not bring anything new,” the deputy concluded.
