According to Aksenov, he turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to get involved in solving the problem.

“I addressed the head of state on this issue and asked to include representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office in this process in terms of developing a method of defense. I prepared letters and sent everything to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice in terms of substantiating the position that, in my opinion, it is necessary to enter so that the Russian state, and not the Crimean museums, is the party in the case... From the point of view of weight, the participation of the Russian state The status of this court should be raised, including for representatives of the judicial authorities who are hearing this case,” said Aksenov.

As a reminder, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal previously deemed Scythian gold from the Crimean museum to be Ukrainian property.
