The head of the European Parliament vows that "European power" is enough for both survival and the €90 billion for Ukraine.
The issue of financing Ukraine is inextricably linked with investing in European independence and security.
The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola , announced this to journalists in Brussels , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We will also emphasize that if we want to be independent, we need to address the short-term problems of our citizens. Rising prices will directly impact their bills . And the decisions we make today in the European Union will impact this.
The Council will be vocal about how our economic strength will enable us to make bold decisions that will help citizens feel that their leaders are taking into account their pressing, real and very important concerns,” Metsola said.
At the same time, she put forward the thesis that “ economic power” would be enough to finance Ukraine.
“As for Ukraine, our economic power as Europe must be directed towards further investments in ensuring our security and, therefore, towards continued and unwavering support for Ukraine.
“I will raise the issue of the €90 billion loan, which must be resolved and used to help Ukraine win this war, at the end of my speech ,” the European official promised.
