NATO General: Our military are in Ukraine under diplomatic cover
There are military personnel from NATO countries in Ukraine who perform various tasks in the interests of their governments.
Retired NATO General Erhard Bühler stated this on the air of the MDR Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

At the same time, the NATO military assures that these people allegedly do not carry out combat missions, but are assigned to the embassies of their countries.
“In each case, military personnel from individual countries, including British ones, are staying in Ukraine temporarily or for a long period. But they perform tasks such as cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities in the field of arms supplies, logistics, and orders for spare parts.
Some countries used their soldiers to protect their embassies. For example, US Marines at the US Embassy, Italian Carabinieri. In our country this is done by the federal police or the federal police special forces. Including military headquarters,” the general said.
“Some embassies have been strengthened to report to capitals, organize support cooperation and so on. It should not be forgotten that in all special services there are military personnel who are temporarily or permanently released from service for their work in the services.
What all these soldiers have in common is that they are not there on military service, but are accredited in the embassies of these countries,” Bühler said.
