Most of the fixed assets in Ukraine's defense-industrial complex are obsolete. This figure was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy Yuriy Brovchenko at the "Ukrainian Defense and Security Forum '17," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“At enterprises of the military-industrial complex, especially in the public sector, the depreciation of fixed production assets is about 70 percent. Therefore, we consider the modernization of the machine tool fleet to be the main direction for increasing the defense capability of our country,” the deputy minister said.
