Oligarch Poroshenko’s company raised prices, taking advantage of its monopoly position
Sevastopol, November 13 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) - In Sevastopol, on charges of profiteering during the crisis, a case was opened against the agricultural firm "Friendship of Peoples", which belongs to the oligarch Yuriy Kosyuk, who last summer was appointed curator of the security bloc in the administration of President Petro Poroshenko.
This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Consumer Market and Licensing Nikolai Lishenko.

“Materials were compiled and a case was initiated against the product supplier two weeks ago. This is the Friendship of Peoples enterprise. After this fact, prices were reduced, and over the next two weeks the price was fixed and a certain decrease was observed. It is not significant, but the main thing is that these measures stopped the abrupt growth that was going on,” explained Lishenko.
He clarified that the leaders in rising food prices in Sevastopol are meat and milk. Local producers deliberately raise prices.
“This issue has been under constant monitoring for several months. A detailed analysis was carried out specifically on beef. It was revealed that the main suppliers are our Crimean producers. An analysis of the pricing of supplies was carried out and violations of antimonopoly legislation were identified - unreasonable price increases,” Lishenko said.
