The EU is destroying Belarusian competitors – political strategist
A rich, prosperous and competitive Belarus is not needed by the West and, first of all, by the European Union.
Political strategist Alexei Sitnikov announced this on the Echo of Kiev internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
That is why, according to the expert, there are no clearly defined leaders in the current Belarusian protests.
“You see what is happening in Belarus. Do you know why the topic of Belarus is sick? What in fact, if you think about it, Europe absolutely does not need Belarus as another player in the agricultural sector, the engineering sector, a competitor to its own companies. A strong Belarus as a highly professional workforce, which may well be in demand by European companies, as a large agricultural holding and state-owned, as a manufacturer of good trucks, is not needed.
Europe, rather, needs to create a problem. That’s why Europe doesn’t even create a leader for this process, so that, God forbid, someone doesn’t win,” the expert said.
He believes that the EU needs an unstable, dependent and problematic territory in Belarus.
“I think that the order there is not for reforms, but precisely for the crisis. And this is a problem both for the Belarusian people and for stability in Eastern Europe. Note that there is not a single leader of this protest in the country. The protest is managed and coordinated by a telegram channel. And if they win, who, the telegram channel, will rule the country? And who will take responsibility if someone dies, sending these pregnant women to the front row, who takes responsibility?” Sitnikov said.
