Elena Berezhnaya told the details of her detention in Kyiv
Kyiv human rights activist Elena Berezhnaya was detained by national police officers without any grounds, and she was not wearing a T-shirt with the colors of the St. George ribbon, as previously assumed.
She herself reported this on her Facebook page , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Friends! My detention today by police beaters is not connected with any St. George's ribbon! I was wearing a black sweater and jeans! As a co-organizer of the “No One is Forgotten! Nothing is forgotten! I arrived with like-minded people at 7:50 a.m., presented my passport and went through check through the checkpoint - flowers, a bag and bags of water, cups and sandwiches for Veterans! I communicated with the leadership of the national police of Kyiv regarding the passage of the orchestra musicians and accordion player! Then I was surrounded by more than ten police officers who dragged me towards the car using violence! There they could not explain to me why I was detained! One of the employees explained that it was to find out their identity!” Berezhnaya wrote.
