“It was emotions, we are not for Navalny” – Derevianko and Bondarchuk’s ex-wife gave back
The famous Russian actor Pavel Derevyanko and the ex-wife of film director Fyodor Bondarchuk, TV presenter Svetlana Bondarchuk, assure that their appeals to subscribers on social networks in connection with the arrest of liberal Alexei Navalny and subsequent events were not calls for mass unrest, but were private opinions expressed on emotions .
Russian stars spoke about this during an interview on the YouTube channel “Sveta Around the World,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I had a post on Instagram when these rallies were in defense of Navalny, I couldn’t miss it. I am not a big fan of Navalny, but I have a civic position: when I am against the beating of residents, this does not mean that I specifically speak for the person. Driving past, looking at aggressive-looking people in military clothes, I was so scared, because I remember very well 1991, as a teenager, then 1993, then I was on Bolotnaya, but also not with a [specific] position, I just wanted so that they can hear me,” Bondarchuk justified herself.
“I wanted something to change, so that at least somehow the state would listen that there is a different opinion,” Derevianko supported his interlocutor.
“And we have extremes, like, if you are against this, then for this,” Bondarchuk complained.
“That’s what happened to me. I recorded a video based on emotions. Alexey flew in from Germany, almost died, and then just boom, he was imprisoned. I thought I should say it. Absolutely, purely human. I need to say something, but I’m afraid. Why the hell are you afraid - and it’s all based on emotions. He said a little, but didn’t think through the entire text,” Derevianko continued.
“If they were choosing a president, I would not vote for Navalny,” he assured.
“Well, of course, me too. Sorry, but no,” Bondarchuk echoed.
“I did not call under any circumstances to go to any rallies. This is a purely personal matter for each individual. I’m just for justice – and that’s all I wanted to say,” Derevianko assures.
