High officials leave ministries without waiting for the lustration “kick”
Odessa, October 17 (PolitNavigator, Artemy Glazunov) – Former vice-governor of the Odessa region Alexander Malin resigned of his own free will from the post of First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, without waiting for the application of the law on cleansing power.

PolitNavigator was informed about this by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Let us note that Malin took the post of first deputy minister only in June of this year; before that he worked as deputy head of the Odessa regional state administration.
As PolitNavigator reported, on September 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, on the fifth attempt, adopted bill No. 4359a “On the cleansing of power” (on lustration) in the second reading as a whole. 231 people's deputies voted in favor. On October 16, the law came into force.
According to it, a number of officials who held high positions - from the president to district leaders during the reign of Yanukovych - are subject to dismissal from the civil service without the right to hold positions for 10 years.
It should be noted that the day before, the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Igor Baluta, stated that there is no one to lustrate in the regional state administration.
