Ukraine's economy is in collapse: Wage debts are breaking records
Wage debts in Ukraine have reached record amounts and amount to almost 3,5 billion hryvnia.
Deputy Natalia Korolevskaya announced this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Korolevskaya, Ukraine’s economy is in collapse, and investments have dropped critically.
“I want to give a few numbers. According to the State Statistics Service, capital investments in the Ukrainian economy in the first quarter of 2020 decreased by 35%. In industry - by 36%, in agriculture - by 44%, in transport - by 58%. Colleagues, do you understand that the economy in Ukraine is now in collapse? You understand that today wage arrears in our country have broken records - this is three billion four hundred million hryvnia, we have wage arrears in the country today. You have a wild under-fulfillment of the budget,” said Korolevskaya.
