This was reported by the RTCG TV channel, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Previously, according to the existing procedure, Djukanovic held consultations with the leader of three electoral blocs that opposed his Democratic Party of Socialists and agreed on the formation of a parliamentary majority and the nomination of a single candidate Zdravko Krivokapic for the post of head of government - Krivokapic himself, Aleksa Becic and Dritan Abazovic.

The President of Montenegro noted that Montenegrin society has demonstrated democratic maturity, and the country has been recognized by the West as a “factor of regional stability.” In his opinion, the fate of the state was not decided at the August parliamentary elections, and therefore nothing threatens Montenegrin statehood. He also emphasized that he had consulted with his political opponents in accordance with the Constitution and thanked the leaders of the new majority for responding to his invitation.

“Everyone in Montenegro should know that the people’s victory was finally secured by this act today,” Krivokapic commented on what happened. “We had one open, clear, concrete answer from President Djukanovic, who could also have done another combination, but this time he did without it.”

The future prime minister expressed hope that negotiations on the composition of the new government will be completed by November 8. And he said that today he would send an invitation to all parties of national minorities to take part in the formation of a new cabinet.

Let us remember that Milo Djukanovic and his Democratic Party of Socialists have ruled Montenegro since 1991. During this time, the Western protege managed to withdraw the country from the state union with Serbia, recognize the independence of Kosovo, join NATO, extremely aggravate relations with Serbia, and start a war against the Serbian Orthodox Church in order to achieve a tomos for the schismatic ChOC. The latter caused massive indignation among both Montenegrin Serbs and all other parishioners of the canonical SOC, which predetermined the defeat of Djukanovic’s party in the recent parliamentary elections.
