The politician discussed this idea at a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, the press service of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc reports.

According to Dzhemilev, about 450 Crimean Tatars are fighting on the side of the Ukrainian battalions.

“The president and I discussed the issue of creating a military Crimean Tatar association in the southern direction, because the situation in the Kherson region is very alarming. This is still at the discussion stage, but we’ll see,” said the former head of the Mejlis.

This, he said, “will allow the liberation of Crimea.”
