This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Simferopol by Anatoly Aksakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market.

According to him, due to the devaluation of the ruble, Russian tourists will give preference to holidays in the Russian Federation. In connection with this, Crimea will also be in high demand among tourists.

“I guarantee you that this year there will be 1,5 times more vacationers in Crimea. Already now all the talk is that this year we will vacation in Russia, including Crimea,” said Anatoly Aksakov.

He added that it is necessary to open Belbek airport in Sevastopol for regular passenger flights as quickly as possible.
