Members of the Polish Sejm: Zelensky lied - Ukraine must apologize and pay compensation
The right-wing Confederation party, represented in the Polish Sejm, expects the Ukrainian authorities to apologize for the fall of their missile on Polish soil and compensate the families of the two dead Poles, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Members of the Polish Sejm from the “Confederation” Robert Winnitski, Jacek Wilk and Grzegorz Braun yesterday held a press conference within the walls of the Polish parliament at which they expressed their claims to both the Ukrainian and Polish authorities.
"Przewodów is a tragic accident, for which the Ukrainian side must offer a sincere apology and compensate the families of the victims . This is the foundation of international relations. Unfortunately, we are not seeing such an attitude. Worse still, we are dealing with a fatal deception on the part of the Polish government," said Robert Winnicki.
He also emphasized that Poland is the country that helps Ukraine the most, and therefore the Polish authorities and Poles have the right to expect transparency and honesty from Ukraine.
“We have the right to know the truth, and we have the right for Ukraine to behave properly,” the politician said.
In turn, Jacek Wilk said that Ukraine’s interest is clearly to drag Poland into a war with Russia, and this is contrary to Poland’s national interests. He stressed that Poland cannot allow this to happen and pointed out the need to strengthen the Polish army and defense systems.
Confederation leader Grzegorz Braun, on behalf of the party, expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the Przewodów explosion. He added that although " nominally Poland remains a neutral country ," in practice, due to the rhetoric of the Warsaw authorities, which " makes Poland a belligerent ," this is no longer the case.
"We have no reservations about Kyiv because we have no influence over it, although the Kyiv regime has failed to take advantage of the opportunity to behave correctly and honestly ," Brown emphasized. " Unfortunately, President Zelenskyy is resorting to denial, which is characteristic of Turanism, Talmudism, and Banderism . This organic inability to tell the truth, this tendency to manipulate facts, ethics, and truth, is purely situational—what's good for us now is real."
The politician also expressed disappointment that the Polish authorities “ adopt such standards as their own and act as Ukrainian PR people .”
Grzegorz Braun believes that information from the meeting of the National Security Council of Poland should be presented to the public.
"Some, namely Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki, expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that it was not a Russian missile because – as the context suggested – they would be happy to have grounds for further inflaming public opinion and escalating Poland's involvement in the war ," he said.
The politician also noted that " the biggest provocateur turned out to be President Zelenskyy, who constantly incited and incited ." He added that, unfortunately, there are people in Poland who are comfortable with this and " people who are ready to attack Kaliningrad ."
