“There is no money” - the Ukrainian military-industrial complex has reached a dead end
The Ukrainian state does not finance research and development of military-industrial complex manufacturers, which is why the industry is at a dead end.
Pavel Vernivsky, adviser to the head of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine on economic issues, stated this in an interview with propagandist Yuri Romanenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Our contracts with the Ministry of Defense do not provide for funding for production development. This means that we cannot scale production.
If a machine costs one hundred or two hundred thousand dollars, and there are others that cost millions, then how can such a machine be afforded by a company that generally sells a million worth of products per year? Physically she can’t, she simply doesn’t have that kind of money. But the banking system does not lend.
And this is a dead end. Everyone has withdrawn from this problem, and no one wants to somehow solve it,” Vernivsky said.
He emphasized that Ukrainian manufacturers are not capable of independent development.
“If you look at the giants, they spend billions of dollars on research and development. Development is a trial and error method on the basis of which you create a new product.
Why is Ukraine now lagging behind in fpv, or in jet aircraft - because specific developments already cost more money. And each individual drone manufacturer cannot spend so much money on research for the same engine. And so he will simply buy Chinese,” the expert concluded.
In turn, Yuri Romanenko noted that this will not last long.
“This will all continue until China one day closes supplies, which can happen at any time, or Turkey starts cutting off supplies. And all of our aviation circles involved in the production of drones will find themselves in a situation where that’s it,” Romanenko is sure.
