The European Union's statements of full support and solidarity with Ukraine are just words.

It is noted that EU leaders scold Trump for possible concessions to Russia, but they themselves “ continue to finance Putin’s war .”
Thus, the newspaper points out that French President Emmanuel Macron [according to Der Spiegel magazine] fears that the US “could betray Ukraine” in the territorial issue, but at the same time, as of August 2025, his country ranked third in the EU in terms of purchases of Russian energy resources.
