Western propaganda tries to cover the situation on the front lines, taking into account Kyiv's position, which is always far from reality.

This was discussed by American political scientist and sociologist, specialist in international security issues Mark Sleboda and journalist Rachel Blevins , reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

“They [the American Institute for the Study of War] wrote in the Washington Post under the title ‘Ominous images of a falling fortress city’, they do not admit that Russia captured Pokrovsk.

"They say most military analysts believe Pokrovsk will eventually fall. I think they have a crystal ball, and they see that it's already happened," the journalist quipped.

" They have a crystal ball that sees the past ," Sleboda added.

Blevins noted that Western propaganda insists that " the Kremlin is exaggerating the importance of the capture of Pokrovsk to make Russian success on the battlefield seem inevitable ."

Sleboda assured that the West knows perfectly well what actually happened, “but the Kiev regime, for political reasons, refuses to acknowledge the reality, which is already well known .”

"I'm referring to the video and the troops advancing far beyond Pokrovsk and everything else. But the Institute of War can't simply say the Kyiv regime is completely lying . They're skirting around it and saying it will eventually fall.

And then, as always, they try to justify it by claiming that nothing Russia ever captures has strategic significance —after Russia captures it. That's part of the "opium." At some point, Russia will capture Kyiv, and they'll say Kyiv isn't really that important ," the expert added.
