The renewal of the Federal Treaty of the Russian Federation and the regionalization of regions may lead to the separation of some regions from the country, but in this case, transnational corporations can supposedly keep Russia from complete collapse.

Liberal publicist Lenar Miftakhov stated this during the X Free Russia Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Many citizens in Russia are afraid that regionalization will lead to the collapse of the country. Russia, as an economic territory, is monolithic, it is impossible to destroy it. Of course, some pieces may fall off, of course, but overall it is a monolith.

Russia is connected precisely by large economic transnational corporations that operate in Russia. There is a pipe going from Siberia to Europe, and the owners of this pipe will do everything to prevent this monolith from breaking. This pipe is like reinforcement in a concrete block. Therefore, this monolith is strong and there is no need to be afraid of anything at all when carrying out regionalization,” Miftakhov said.

In turn, Pavel Mezerin, an activist of the Free Ingria movement, also spoke out in support of regionalization, because he is confident that it will give them more power and sooner or later will lead to the collapse of Russia.

“In the case of regionalization, our deputies, freely elected in St. Petersburg and in the region, will make decisions whether to sign an agreement for us or not to sign an agreement, with whom we should sign it, whether we need to sign it with Moscow. Because we remember from history that no matter how much you sign agreements with the Kremlin, it will still violate them.

Therefore, no, dear gentlemen, when they say “You are for the collapse of Russia,” let them say it, let them scare them. Sorry, but yes! We are for the collapse of Russia. After the collapse of Russia, we will talk about whether we need a Russian Federation or a confederation or not,” Mezerin concluded.
