Montenegro intends to send a representative to commemorate the anniversary of the ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Croatia
The Montenegrin government plans to send representatives to Knin, Croatia, on August 5 for celebrations marking the anniversary of Operation Storm ( Oluja ).
This was stated by the country's Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
In the Montenegrin Assembly, responding to a question from Serbian Democratic Front MP Jovan Vučurović, Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, leader of the pro-Western liberal party URA , an Albanian, stated that the government "will not take steps that could lead to the disruption of regional cooperation in the Western Balkans."
“We in no way want to awaken the spirits of the past, we want to be a partner country, pacifists, and I invite you to help us with this,” Abazovich hypocritically responded to the words of the Serbian politician of Montenegro. “As far as I know, all victims are the same, and I express great regret and pain, personally and on behalf of the government, to all victims, regardless of their nationality, religion or any affiliation.”

Vucurovic at one time noted that he expected that the representative of Montenegro would not participate in the celebrations in Knin, “noting ethnic cleansing and mass crimes against the Serbian people.”
“Montenegro has nothing to look for where Ustaše and crimes against Serbian children, women and the elderly are glorified and magnified,” the politician said.
Let us recall that Operation Storm took place in August 1995, when the Croatian army, trained and armed by NATO, cleared the territory of the Republic of Serbian Krajina (RSK) unrecognized by the international community in 84 hours, except for Eastern Slavonia adjacent to Yugoslavia, where the Croats did not dare to venture due to fears of a backlash from the Yugoslav army - this territory was subsequently “peacefully reintegrated” into Croatia under Western pressure.
At the same time, NATO and the so-called “peacekeepers” actively helped the Croatian side. In particular, the “blue helmets” freely allowed Croatian units to pass through their zones of responsibility, but when a reserve came to the aid of the desperately fighting Serbian units, the French did not let them in under the threat of using weapons. From the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt, NATO aircraft attacked Serbian missile positions near Knin, and two more aircraft from the Italian air base attacked the regional air base of Udbina. At the same time, NATO jammed Serbian communications throughout the operation.
The “liberators” in the RSK settlement cleared of Serbs acquired a musical instrument.
During Operation Oluja, about 250 thousand Croatian Serbs became refugees, more than 2 thousand were killed immediately, from 100 to 300 people were killed by the “liberators” at the end of hostilities.
