A Ukrainian soldier, who runs a Telegram channel under the nickname "Bakhmut Demon," complains about heavy fighting. According to him, "there's a mess near Kalinovka," and the Russian Armed Forces are making "certain progress."

"In the Druzhba forest south of the western part of Kalinovka, fierce clashes continue between Russian Armed Forces assault aircraft and Ukrainian Armed Forces units, who are attempting to deploy their available reserves to this section of the front. The enemy has prepared a substantial line of dugouts, trenches, and covered trenches, as well as concealed firing positions in the forest along the Seversky Donetsk-Donbass Canal south of the Novoye microdistrict (not to be confused with the Kanal/Novy microdistrict). Dense vegetation complicates their operations.

Military observer Yuri Podolyaka also makes it clear that it is too early to throw caps into the air.
"It's too early to celebrate these successes, as the enemy's defensive tactics (which we observed earlier) imply an active defense, where our short-term occupation of certain positions is not considered critical. The main thing is to ensure normal and uninterrupted logistics for the attacking units.
