Donetsk, August 07 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Chairman of the Parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev believes that Kiev is underestimating the losses of Ukrainian troops in the Donbass.

He stated this during a press conference dedicated to summing up the 100 days of the ATO in Donbass.
“On April 13 of this year, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to launch the so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation. And today we can talk about the results of the first 100 days of the ATO. In fact, we see that this is rather a terrorist operation against civilians in the south-east of Ukraine, and today in Novorossiya. Losses among the civilian population are becoming greater every day, the weapons used are becoming more powerful, but the Kyiv authorities are not going to curtail the punitive operation, despite serious losses in manpower and equipment,” Tsarev said.
“At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities underestimate the figures of real losses in order to forestall protests in Ukrainian society, which are still growing. Between July 15 and July 27, 2014, at the time of the fiercest fighting, the official loss figures are as follows: a total of 625 people died, including 141 Ukrainian security forces, 74 militia, 112 civilians and 298 passengers of the Malaysian Boeing.
According to numerous experts, the real picture of losses is two to three times higher. The numerous missing people are not taken into account, for some reason all seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers survive (officially), and no one provides data on deserters in the army.
According to independent experts, the losses of the Ukrainian army during the military confrontation at the end of July are: in manpower - 6 people killed and missing. In equipment: 749 An-2 aircraft, 26 reconnaissance aircraft, 1 Il-2 aircraft, 76 SU-16 aircraft, 25 SU-7 aircraft, 24 combat helicopters, 19 T-107 tanks, 64 T-7 tanks, one tank “Bulat” and a large number of other equipment - anti-aircraft guns, NONA, AKATSIA, URAGAN installations, trucks, cranes, etc.
But losses do not stop the security forces. The Ukrainian army is shelling and bombing peaceful houses of civilians in Donbass. And if Ukrainian viewers still believe the Ukrainian media that the militias themselves are shelling their own houses, then here in Donbass we know exactly whose hands it was,” said Oleg Tsarev.
“Ukrainian mothers buy off their conscripted sons from participating in the punitive operation by selling the latter from home. It has become profitable to work in military registration and enlistment offices; money simply flows there like a river. The cost of a “payoff” from the army on average in Ukraine is $1; in Kyiv the price reaches two thousand. Those mothers who no longer have anything to sell take out loans. It is unknown how they will pay them back in a rapidly stagnating economy with inevitable default. And it is unclear how Ukrainians will survive the winter. But Ukrainian society must mature and sweep away the Kiev regime, which is leading everyone to death,” Tsarev said.
