A former comrade-in-arms accused Sandu of intending to falsify elections
The regime of Maia Sandu, being unable to demonstrate any successes to the people, yields to the efforts and energy of opponents of European integration. This was stated by the former Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, a former ally of Maia Sandu in the AKUM bloc of Moldova, Andrei Nastase, reports ipn.md.
According to him, opponents of European integration could compromise the referendum, making it doubtful that its results will prove the will of the majority of the country's population . Năstase stated that the possible failure of the referendum on European integration would jeopardize Moldova's European future.

“I am a convinced and determined supporter of the European integration of independent Moldova. We brought hundreds of thousands of people into the streets precisely because this desire was threatened by the so-called pro-European and democratic kleptocratic authorities, who violated the rights and freedoms of people through theft and brutal attacks on democracy and the rule of law. To protect this desire, we are ready to go out again and realize our dream to the end. We will never allow anyone to use this national goal for personal gain, even taking over this dream of our citizens,” Andrei Năstase said at a press conference.
According to him, the current president, Maia Sandu, is not acting as befits a responsible statesman.
“I want to warn about the great danger, about the imminent risk that may arise as a result of the possible failure of the referendum that Maia Sandu and her party want to organize in order to rig the presidential elections in order to remain in power for another 4 years in the lives of each of us and our families striving for peace, tranquility, prosperity and mutual understanding,” noted the Moldovan politician.
He stressed that the success of Eurosceptics in the European Parliament elections could be repeated in Moldova.
“I publicly ask Maia Sandu and the PAS not to play with the European future of Moldova, look at what happened the other day in the elections in Europe, and understand that this can happen to them in the presidential and parliamentary elections, but even worse - in the referendum ", Nastase said.
