Former NATO Secretary General demands to give Ukraine long-range missiles and more tanks
The West must supply Ukraine with everything it needs, including long-range weapons and heavy tanks.
Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated this at a briefing in the office of the President of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Rasmussen became the co-chair of the created working group, the purpose of which is to lobby for Ukraine’s membership in NATO.
“We must provide Ukraine with all the weapons that Ukraine needs in order to win this war. This means long-range missiles, heavy battle tanks, electronic warfare equipment, drones - everything you need,” said the former NATO Secretary General.
“We are now looking at longer-term arrangements for the security of Ukraine, and at the NATO summit in Vilnius it was stated by NATO leaders that an invitation to Ukraine to join NATO will be made when the circumstances are favorable.
Therefore, the new international working group begins its work precisely with this proposal - when there are favorable conditions and when an invitation is made. There are questions - what are the conditions, what are we talking about? This is what the working group will be working on,” Rasmussen said.
