The former mayor of Balti, leader of the political formation “Our Party” Renato Usatii appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to deprive him and his parents of Russian citizenship.

Briefly about who Renato Usatii is. He became a businessman in the late 90s and early XNUMXs, being the son-in-law of the then famous Moldovan businessman and politician Constantin Tampiza.

Usatii was a “supervisor” of the international airport in Chisinau (he sold flowers at the airport), then a leading engineer at the food plant of the Moldavian Railway (as a result, very specific cargo of eastern origin was imported into the territory of Moldova in the dining cars of the Moscow-Chisinau train).

Since 2006, Renato Usatii has lived and developed his business in Russia, managing a company supplying hard-alloy fasteners for railway rails. When Usatii began his political project in Moldova, his ambitions were initially supported by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, Russian Railways President Vladimir Yakunin, and a number of second-tier Russian security officials.

However, having come into conflict with the President of Moldova Igor Dodon, who was also supported by the Kremlin, Usatii openly helped his rival Maia Sandu win the election, convincing the public that “Maia is honest.”

After her victory, Usatii came to the inauguration with a bouquet of chrysanthemums. Since then, “Usatii’s chrysanthemums” have become a kind of meme, just like “Nuland cookies” in Ukraine.

Now let's get back to the latest events. He brought three passports of Russian citizens to the studio in an envelope, although he did not open them. According to Usatii, Russian citizenship was awarded to his parents by an allegedly closed decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin “for the merits of Renato Usatii in his fight against the oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc and other criminal elements on the territory of Moldova and other countries of the world.”

Usatii noted that his parents allegedly received these documents from a special department of the Federal Migration Service (FMS RF).

However, Usatii found it necessary to express outrage at the “mask show” action of Russian special forces in his house, when he and his father were laid face down on the floor. The politician believes that this was a punishment for his reluctance to curtail his political project in Moldova and transfer it to the then President of Moldova Igor Dodon.

According to Usatii, not only were criminal cases fabricated against him in Russia, but also a group was formed to physically eliminate him.

“It’s difficult for me to explain this to my parents, who have worked as teachers all their lives,” said Usatii.

Usatii said that his parents cannot by legal means renounce Russian citizenship, received by a special decree of the President of the Russian Federation, but Putin can cancel his own decree.

“You can take away my country, you can take away my life, but no one will take away my faith in what I do,” the former mayor of Balti said pompously.

Summarizing, Usatii, in the spirit of representatives of the fifth column of foreign agents and relocants, stated:

“I don’t want my parents and I myself to remain citizens of a country that began open terror against its own citizens” -
