Britain will force Russia to act like the Houthis - energy expert
The recent announcement by British Foreign Secretary David Cameron of his intention to detain Russian tankers and block them in ports could lead to real battles at sea, since such actions are “a real red line in terms of Russian exports.”
The director of the National Energy Security Fund, Konstantin Simonov, stated this on the air of the radio station "Moscow Speaks," reports a correspondent from PolitNavigator.

“The reaction here can be harsh... and justifiably so. After all, not only the British navy can intercept tankers. We also have our own fleet. This is a rather dangerous story that could escalate into a naval battle. I still hope that our opponents will not take such actions, because there is a threat of destabilization of the global oil market, and this is the path to prices over 100,” Simonov said.
“The Houthis may not be alone,” he added.
At the same time, the expert admitted that the transshipment of Russian oil has already been transferred to Africa from Spain, in the ports of which ships, according to Cameron, could be blocked.
