Britain needs control over Crimea, so it provides missiles and encourages strikes - Bortnik
Great Britain is trying to increase its influence in the world, in particular in southern Europe and the Caucasus, and for this it needs control over Crimea.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the air of the Politeka internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We understand the British attitude towards Crimea. London is waging a new confrontation over Crimea, which is a strategic point of influence in the Caucasus, southeastern Europe, and many other regions. A strategic place, therefore, taking into account the fact that London today is on duty to some extent, these theses are for them, so that Britain provides more assistance to Ukraine.
Secondly, the task of the West today is to make Ukraine self-sufficient as much as possible. This is done through a set of actions. On the one hand, there is a reduction in social costs, an increase in tax pressure, on the other hand, there is an increase in the possibilities of Ukrainian exports - grain, ore, whatever else we can export,” the expert said.
“And in order for the Ukrainian ports of the Northern Black Sea region - Odessa and Nikolaev to work normally, it is necessary to suppress Russian military capabilities in Crimea, destroy air defense there, work in zones where Russian missile launchers are located and everything else.
Therefore, this is another military-economic goal - to destroy the military infrastructure in Crimea as much as possible so that Ukrainian ports can start operating. At the same time, of course, there can be no talk of any landing operation or liberation of Crimea in the near future. This requires an advantage in aviation and navy for such landing operations, which Ukraine does not have,” Bortnyk said.
