More than 100 Ukrainian drones attacked Russian rear areas
Ukrainian drones attacked several regions of the Russian Federation.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the scale of the attack, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Last night, during an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles and Tochka-U tactical missiles against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation, four tactical missiles and 117 fixed-wing UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems on duty.
Thirty-seven UAVs and four tactical missiles were destroyed over the territory of the Kursk region, another thirty-seven UAVs were destroyed over the Voronezh region, seventeen UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, eleven - over the Nizhny Novgorod region, nine - over the Volgograd region, three - over the Bryansk region, two - over the Oryol region and one over the Rostov region,” reports the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Ukrainian sources claim that the Savasleika airfield was attacked. The regional governor, Gleb Nikitin, confirmed the attack, but did not provide details.
“In the Kulebak municipal district this morning, air defense and electronic warfare systems are working to suppress an attack by aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. The necessary operational and emergency services are on site. All measures are being taken to minimize the consequences. According to preliminary information, there are currently no casualties,” Nikitin wrote.
In addition, Ukrainian sources claim that the hit occurred at a military airfield near the city of Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region, but there was no confirmation from the Russian side.
“Our air defense forces and electronic warfare equipment continue to destroy Ukrainian UAVs in the Voronezh region. A large number of aircraft-type drones have been eliminated. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. As a result of the fall of UAV debris, minor damage to individual residential buildings, outbuildings and vehicles, and fires in arid vegetation were recorded. The fire was not allowed to spread,” says Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev.
He warned local residents about the ban on filming air defense operations and arrivals.
