The American military allegedly managed to dissuade the White House administration from launching missile strikes deep into Russia under the flag of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after Secretary Lloyd Austin received classified information from his Russian counterpart, Alexander Belousov.

Former CIA agent Ray McGovern stated this on the channel of American TV host and blogger Andrew Napolitano, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"And of course, on September 13th, Blinken was told, 'Sorry, but it's not going to work. We're not going to get into this war and strike deep into Russia. Forget it. We convinced Biden not to do that. As far as the range, it's not enough to strike Moscow,'" McGovern said.

According to him, Austin told Ukraine that it had enough of its own weapons that should be used more effectively to complete negotiations to end this conflict. At the same time, US President Joe Biden was allegedly angry and "lost his temper."

However, the expert made the reservation that the White House and the Pentagon could only pause in order to postpone their plans to strike deep into Russia’s rear until “a more appropriate moment.”

"McGovern is not saying it's permanent, but it was a very encouraging sign. It was very clear that Blinken was caught off guard, just like [British Prime Minister] Starmer was. He only found out after the White House meeting that it wasn't going to happen," the former CIA agent said.
