Avakov calls his National Guard into politics
Kyiv, September 07 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – Commanders of the National Guard who have gone through all the hardships of war should come into politics, Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov said on the Espresso TV channel.

“I am for commanders of volunteer battalions to come to power. They will tell me that they only know how to shoot, but the more of these guys there are in the elections, the more guarantees there are that the authorities will not be corrupted. It will be such a pressing pressure because these boys have real values. They will find someone to trust - honest journalists, financiers, managers. This is a good changing force,” says the minister.
Arsen Avakov also doubted the possibility of a third “Maidan” organized by ATO participants.
“Now there are a lot of talkers who say that they will organize a third Maidan, deploy guns, etc. Such phenomena arise as a combination of factors, and not at the request of someone. The person near whom mines explode, his values change. War removes everything superfluous; these people have a heightened sense of justice. And when they come back, there will just be a lot of changes. But this will not be the third Maidan, says Avakov.
