Avakov again caved in to the Nazis
On the anniversary of Euromaidan, Ukrainian bloggers discovered five-year-old photographs of the current deputy head of the National Guard Academy, Vasyl Pilipenko, kicking one of the Maidan "activists," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
As it became known, the person beaten was the future battalion commander of the Azov special forces unit with the call sign “Akula”.

After the information spread online, the head of the communications department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Artem Shevchenko, stated in a comment to the publication Censor.NET that an official investigation had been ordered against Vasily Pilipenko.
“The Minister of Internal Affairs instructed the commander of the National Guard to conduct an internal investigation into materials that were published in the media regarding Colonel Pilipenko, who holds the position of deputy head of the National Guard Academy,” he said.
According to a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, if the published information is confirmed, the colonel will be removed from his position. He has also been suspended from official duties for the duration of the investigation.
