Former Prime Minister of Ukraine and one of the leaders of the Maidan activists, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, financed the election campaign of the Popular Front party in 2014 through an illegal gas scheme.
Fugitive People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Onishchenko spoke about this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
In 2013, Karpatygaz produced 200 million cubic meters more than it was supposed to according to its balance sheet. This gas was closed and went to the population. In 2014, when Yatsenyuk was prime minister, they came up with such a scheme. They redid the balance and returned gas from the population to the company. The company transferred it to the trader, the trader sold and cashed out. The money went to finance the campaign of the Popular Front, which took first place,” Onishchenko said.
He claims that the Popular Front is now very concerned that its coalition partner Petro Poroshenko Bloc does not want to share illegal proceeds from bribes.
“That’s why Avakov creates national squads so that Poroshenko can share,” says the deputy.
