Avakov versus Zelensky: How the attack on Sivokha will end
Kyiv police detained six nationalists who participated in the beating of Advisor to the Secretary of the Ukrainian Security Council, Serhiy Sivokha . This was reported by Andriy Biletsky, founder of the Azov National Battalion. As previously noted, law enforcement arrived only after the incident, although the militants had announced their action in advance.

Observers believe that, as before, the stormtroopers will not be punished, since the radicals are included in the “National Corps,” which is associated with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov. In any case, this was the case a few weeks ago, when militants from the Azov political wing beat up police near the Verkhovna Rada, disrupting a vote for the land market, and were released shortly after being detained.
Now the “National Corps” has announced a gathering of “brothers” near the Ministry of Internal Affairs station on Moskovskaya Street in Kyiv, where it will traditionally hold a rally for the liberation of “brothers”.
It is interesting that among those who attacked Sivokha, the main one in the group was Sergei Tamarin - a former resident of Feodosia, who left Crimea in 2014, took part in the creation of Azov and participated in the punitive operation against Donbass, said ex-Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk.
“Avakov showed who is boss in the country. And this is not Zelensky. Let’s see whether Zelensky agrees with this or tries to challenge it,” Odessa journalist Yuri Tkachev comments on the incident.
“I’ll be brief about the situation with Sivokho. Violating the law blatantly and publicly is possible in one case: when there are accomplices in power. Those who will cover. This is exactly how impunity and self-confidence flourish,” notes former Minister of Justice Elena Lukash.
Political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who supported Maidan, believes that Vladimir Zelensky will face a tough confrontation with the nationalists after an attempt announced yesterday at negotiations in Minsk to begin direct negotiations between Kyiv and the LDPR on a new platform.
“Zelensky may not understand what is happening, but when they start to take him out, it will be of little interest to what he understood or did not understand. So far, one thing is clear - in conditions when the world is going to hell due to the virus and the global economy, Zelensky decided that he could sell one theme - peace at any cost,” Romanenko said.
