ATO soldiers seized a house in the center of Odessa and took the city authorities hostage
Whatever criminal activity may occur in Ukraine, it will turn out that it either fits within the framework of the new Ukrainian legislation, or - if it still “does not fit into the unfitted” - falls under the military capitulary. So, for those who like to justify the horrors of modern Ukraine with knowledge of jurisprudence, I’ll immediately clarify that Odessa, which will be discussed, was never part of the ATO zone, which is a key point in today’s narrative.
So, five years ago, ATO soldiers seized a complex of abandoned emergency houses in Odessa in the center on Uspenskaya, 4. They equipped it from shit and sticks with the grip of a tenacious orc and in the best traditions of the Maidans - we will “cut in” communications to the neighbors, we will not pay for anything , we’ll steal a piano from the former palace of pioneers, and we’ll plant radishes in the piano. In general, written off for scrap with a reward from the state in the form of a bag of plastic caps for prostheses, they simply survived. And in the south near the sea it is more pleasant to survive than in our native Stryi and Gadyachi.

It is especially noteworthy how the ATO soldiers explained their actions to the authorities - they say that next door there is a convent of the Moscow Patriarchate, which lays claim to the seized houses and “arranges covens in order to spread the Russian world and Putin’s influence,” and we are defending ourselves from it. And, according to the political line, everyone ate up this nonsense.

The ATO soldiers were joined by displaced persons from Donbass thrown out onto the streets. The fact is that their influx occurred during Mikheil Saakashvili’s tenure as Odessa governor, and he failed this campaign miserably.
In particular, the times of his reign were remembered for the daily rallies of displaced persons under the Regional State Administration and the constant terrible stories on TV in which old people and disabled people lay covered with newspapers in abandoned sanatoriums without communications, where it was impossible even to light a fire from the parquet floor due to the fact that it had long been burned homeless people. And this, by the way, is about the ghoul howl of Ukraine to the Donetsk and Crimean people - “Come back!” The picture above was just described of what Ukraine can offer as a bright future...
In general, ATO soldiers and displaced people organized something like a commune. However, the utility workers themselves did not favor this “gypsy camp” at all. And the point here is not even a matter of ideology - after all, they cut off communications in batches of law-abiding citizens for debts, and the supreme six-legged deity of the housing and public utilities sector himself ordered the robbers to “cut off the oxygen.”
And the other day, a large number of social network users began distributing an SOS announcement with the following content: “Uspenskaya 4. Self-created compact settlement of displaced persons and ATO soldiers. On our own, in 2016, we found a dilapidated building. They made the house livable with their own efforts. On March 18.03, our water supply was turned off. Usually, in response to their radical actions, officials expect no less radical actions from us...” And we all know very well what “radical actions” on the part of ATO officers are - take a grenade and use it.

Hundreds of reposts and comments in which all these nice guys promised that they wouldn’t put their money where their mouth is (they still have grenades). They reviled the mayor and the governor with the last words - a standard set, in general. And what do you think - the very next day, those same utility workers who, usually, not only do not stand on ceremony with citizens, but drive them to suicide, lined up and connected everything back.

Moreover, three city council departments, the housing office, and a host of sympathetic officials came to the impostors' defense. "Victory!" the armed pirates immediately cried. "Glory to Ukraine!" And you can imagine how this lawlessness was perceived in contrast to the recent failed attempt by a desperate Odessa woman to set fire to a pension fund , who was immediately charged with a criminal offense. "But she didn't shout 'Glory to Ukraine!'" I wrote then.
Now let's look at the situation from the point of view of even the biased Ukrainian legislation, written out like a monkey with a grenade. Here I will remind you once again that Odessa has never been part of the ATO zone (however, just like seven years ago, when on May 2 Odessa residents were burned in the House of Trade Unions). That is, there is officially peace in Odessa. Therefore, the actions of the ATO officers - seizing buildings, bullying neighbors, blackmailing utility workers and threatening the authorities - should be considered terrorism.
The migrants can be excluded; they act out of despair. And this, by the way, is a good reason to “take Saakashvili by the ass,” but, they say, they cannot shut his mouth, because formally there is nothing to complain about. So, here you go - it is thanks to him that migrants from Donbass live in the Odessa region like dogs.
But everything depends solely on political will, it turns out that it is supreme over the law: if the government is afraid of ATO soldiers, then it is a hostage, if at the same time with them, then it is an accomplice of terrorists. It’s time to decide, otherwise it won’t be too late. Especially, remembering the recent interview of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Avakov with Gordon, in which he so casually, with even some kind of worldly wisdom in his eyes, stated that - yes, well, ATO soldiers carry grenades home, yes, thugs, yes, mentally ill people, however Well, c'est la vie.
Only if at the beginning of the play there is a gun hanging on the wall, then by the end of the play it will definitely fire. And ATO soldiers have been terrorizing the city for five years. I feel that a new disaster is just around the corner.
