American tiltrotor is shot down by one Russian missile over Ukraine – Korotchenko
American CV-22 tiltrotor aircraft with variable propeller position, which took part in the Joint Effort 2020 exercises in Ukraine, directly threaten Moscow and can send troops to the Russian capital.
Ukrainian propagandist Andrey Tsaplienko speaks about this in his story on the 1+1 TV channel.
According to him, the appearance of an American hybrid aircraft and helicopter on Ukrainian soil is a “signal to Moscow” on the eve of the Caucasus 2020 exercises in southern Russia.
“What we saw in science fiction films about the future is already here. Meet - this is the world's only serial tiltrotor - a hybrid of a helicopter and an airplane. It takes off like a helicopter, then the rotors change their inclination and turn into propellers. This is an ideal transport for special operations, and it is already here on Ukrainian soil. At such moments you understand that we will not be left alone with the enemy in this war...
This transformer can fly almost two thousand kilometers without refueling. This means that the “bird” can safely deliver paratroopers somewhere in the Moscow area and return from there. A powerful and correct signal to our opponents during their offensive exercises,” says Tsaplienko.
The inspiration of the Ukrainian propagandist has nothing to do with reality, military expert and editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko told PolitNavigator. According to him, Russian air defense systems will destroy any enemy targets when crossing the border with the Russian Federation along with landing forces.
“In conditions when the Ukrainian army, organized as the Armed Forces, does not exist, therefore propaganda praises American tiltrotors, which were produced several decades ago. Of course, when crossing the border with Russia, these tiltrotor aircraft, along with the landing force, will be instantly destroyed by the Russian air defense system.
We have created an integrated, layered aerospace defense system, which, firstly, tracks all targets at a distance of up to 400-500 kilometers from the borders of Russia. Secondly, a radar for monitoring targets that fly at low altitude. In any case, once within the Russian air defense coverage area, these targets are easily detected and destroyed without any difficulty.
Take, for example, the Tor-M2 complex, which provides cover for objects and troop groups; it easily destroys stealthy drones, calmly detects a target such as a tiltrotor and destroys it with one missile. Therefore, Ukrainian propaganda is just polishing American boots with its tongue, that’s all,” Korotchenko said.
