Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov admitted that major road repairs in Simferopol were carried out in an exceptionally poor manner, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There are not only questions about the quality of the major repairs, but a colossal number of them. This begs the question about the sanity of the contractors and those who controlled the terms of reference. They don't have technology. They transport hot asphalt in trucks. While being transported to the place, it cools unevenly and becomes deformed when it is rolled away,” Aksenov said.
He believes that road work should be accepted “with the involvement of a federal agency according to the most stringent federal standards,” and next year all contracts should be entrusted to a state enterprise.
“Next year we will form the authorized capital of a state enterprise, which will deal with 100% of the volume of patching and major repairs - at least 6-7 billion rubles per year. We will purchase modern equipment for 1,7 billion. Maybe we can take out a loan. To make roads like the Tavrida federal highway. And all the “horns and hooves” companies will be subcontracted,” Aksenov said.
