70% of Ukrainians saw both Tymoshenko and Poroshenko in the coffin - opinion poll
Every fifth resident of Ukraine is confident that Yulia Tymoshenko will become the next president of the country, and almost half as many are confident in the victory of current President Petro Poroshenko.
This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the sociological group "Rating", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
21% of respondents believe that Tymoshenko will win the presidential election. Over the past year, the number of those who are convinced of its victory has doubled. 12,8% are confident that Petro Poroshenko will win, which is slightly less than in the previous year (15%). About 5% expect Vladimir Zelensky to win, Yuriy Boyko – 3,5%, Oleg Lyashko – 2,2%, Anatoly Gritsenko – 2,1%. Less than 2% of respondents believe in the positive results of others. According to this indicator, Yulia Tymoshenko is the leader in all regions, with the exception of the Lviv region, where they believe more in Petro Poroshenko’s victory in the elections. Mainly supporters of Yulia Tymoshenko (81%) and Petro Poroshenko (77%) are confident in their favorites.
“And, for example, only a third of Gritsenko’s voters believe in Gritsenko’s victory, and 12% believe in Poroshenko’s victory, 14% believe in Tymoshenko. That is, voters of candidates other than Tymoshenko and Poroshenko do not believe in the victory of their candidate,” said Alexey Antipovich, head of the sociological group “Rating,” at a press conference in Kyiv.
Tymoshenko is also the leader of the presidential rating. 20,8% of those who have made their choice and intend to participate in the elections are ready to support it. 13,4% are ready to vote for Zelensky, Poroshenko - 11,1%, Boyko - 9,6%, Gritsenko - 7,8%, Lyashko - 6,6%, Vakarchuk - 4,6%, Muraev - 4,5% , Shevchenko – 4,2%. The rating of other candidates is less than 3%. At the same time, almost a third of those surveyed either have not yet decided on the choice of candidate, or do not intend to vote in the elections.
“Andrei Sadovoy has completely lost the level of support that he had, and once it even reached 12%,” noted Alexey Antipovich.
Tymoshenko is in the lead in almost all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkov. In the Lviv region, she shares leadership positions with Poroshenko and Gritsenko, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region - with Shevchenko, in the Mykolaiv region - with Zelensky.
Tymoshenko's rating has been growing since February 2018. “In dynamics until mid-2018, Ukrainians rather believed in Poroshenko’s victories, but since June Tymoshenko has become the clear leader, her dynamics are growing. On the contrary, the belief in Poroshenko’s victory is stable, but without growth,” said Alexey Antipovich.
With his appearance in the electoral ratings, Zelensky’s indicator is growing. The ratings of Poroshenko, Boyko and Lyashko remained virtually unchanged. The ratings of Gritsenko and Vakarchuk fell somewhat, and to a greater extent - Rabinovich. At the same time, the level of support for Sadovoy and Muraev has not changed.
The current president heads the anti-rating. 50,3% of respondents who intend to vote in the elections would not vote for him under any circumstances. In this indicator, the current head of state ranks first in all regions except the Lviv region, where Boyko is the leader of the anti-rating.
