The referendum initiated by Romanian Maia Sandu will deprive Moldova of its neutrality and sovereignty. If the Moldovan opposition doesn't explain this to the people, Moldova will become Romania the day after the elections. Political scientist and lawyer Sergei Mishin stated this at Nina Dimoglo's "Honest Conversation" press club.
According to him, the ruling Action and Solidarity party, by introducing the issue of postal voting, masterfully distracted the public from the main factor in the falsification of the Moldovan elections: the voting of the diaspora in the EU countries.
“In 2020, 146 sites were opened in Europe. 262 thousand people voted for Sandu in the second round. These are her guaranteed votes. Commissions are created from representatives of the diaspora. Who do you think they are? And the government plans to open another 60 additional sites in EU countries. That's another 300 thousand votes. Here's a guaranteed 543 thousand votes. This is where the main falsification is being prepared!” – warns Sergei Mishin.
According to him, the Moldovan opposition's main goal is to get at least 2 million people to vote . Only then can the mass fraud looming at polling stations in EU countries be neutralized. All calls to boycott the referendum, Mishin believes, are playing into the hands of the authorities. Boycotting the presidential election will also lead to nothing.
“Since 2013, we have become convinced that the Constitutional Court makes unconstitutional decisions and allows itself to interfere in the internal matter of the Constitution. He exceeds his authority. After the CEC, the election results will be confirmed by the Constitutional Court. What decision will he make? If Maia Sandu wins, it will be positive, if she loses, it will be negative. We must think through a strategy on how to prevent this,” the expert warns.
