100 days of Vladimir Zelensky's presidency turned into three major emergencies with human casualties. The latest tragedy is a fire in the Odessa hotel and brothel "Tokyo Star", which claimed the lives of nine people. The emergency is not so much to blame arrested corrupt owner, how completely rotten the state system is in Ukraine. And Zelensky has so far demonstrated complete helplessness in changing the situation.
Ex-adviser to the Minister of Emergency Situations of Ukraine Konstantin Grinchuk stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert recalled that earlier, under the slogans of fighting extortions, regulatory authorities were liquidated in Ukraine. However, this did not lead to either the eradication of corruption or an increase in security.
“We fought corruption so that corruption went off scale, and we are the first on the entire planet. That is, we eliminated state control in construction, fire, sanitary and epidemiological stations - we eliminated everything that was possible, renaming, reassigning, as a result, it now turns out that our state inspectors mainly check those to whom they themselves are subordinate...
The state deliberately blurred responsibility so that there would be no one to blame. Here, President Zelensky announces: all those guilty will be punished (in the fire at the Tokyo Star - ed.) Okay, who is the culprit? If you bend your fingers now, you can find a hundred people guilty... He was burning because our system is completely rotten! It needs to be changed, it is necessary to remove state inspections from the subordination of those to whom they report,” Grinchuk said.
According to the expert, as a result of such a system, all checks are just ostentatious, vigorous activity.
“Tomorrow is one hundred days of power for the new president. During this time, we had Transcarpathia, a flood, we had miners die in the Lviv region, now the third one, and there was something else. Can you name me a specific professional person who is currently interested in changing this in the new government? And - no one! We have artists, political scientists, lawyers – I don’t see any specialists yet,” the ex-adviser noted.
“Here he comes (Zelensky to Odessa - ed.), with all due respect, yes, sincere eyes, sincere sympathy, but to put it into categories, where is the role of the district council, the regional council, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Transport - sorry, no. Therefore, at best, we are looking for this Vadim Cherny (hotel owner - ed.) and others like him, to take and jump at someone. No, it’s not the right place,” added Konstantin Grinchuk.
