“Green energy in Ukraine will save the EU. Just to survive the winter" - Zelensky
After the victory, Ukraine will become the flagship of “green” energy, ensuring the energy security of the whole of Europe.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky confidently stated this when speaking in the Verkhovna Rada with a message “On the fundamentals of domestic and foreign policy,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“State security is not a state that you achieve once and for all, it is difficult work, it is a process. Leadership and security always go hand in hand; when you acquire one, you work for the other. And now, when the enemy has set himself the goal of destroying us, destroying our energy sector, we set ourselves the goal of becoming a leader in transforming our energy sector to counter any threats, any challenges - military, political, economic or even climate, we must become! And we will, because there is no way out.
We will become a leader in building modern “green” energy. This will allow us to create a decentralized energy system that cannot be destroyed by anything, nothing, or any missile strikes.
Today everyone sees that it is dangerous when cities depend on several large heat or power plants. A modern city needs decentralized energy sources and energy sources. Only “green” energy can truly provide this. Having a leadership position in such energy and developing our nuclear generation, as well as hydrogen energy, we will be able to meet the needs of Ukraine, and in peacetime, Europe,” Zelensky said, interrupted several times by thunderous applause.

He stressed that it is only necessary to survive the winter, and then Ukraine will take the path of “historically strengthening its role in Europe.”
“We can, and, therefore, must become one of the guarantors of European energy security. And tasks for tomorrow. And today we must get through, and we will definitely get through this winter,” the Ukrainian president assured.
"Ukraine's green energy will save the EU. If only we can survive the winter," Zelenskyy said.
