Zelensky was forbidden to talk too much at the Normandy summit
Representatives of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine have already agreed on the draft final document of the Normandy Format summit. Political scientist Alexey Chesnakov, close to Vladislav Surkov, aide to the President of the Russian Federation who oversees the LDPR, writes about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The document is written in such a way that it addresses issues exclusively of the Minsk agreements. Accordingly, Vladimir Zelensky will not be able to raise the issue of Crimea, as he previously promised to do at his first meeting with Vladimir Putin.
“The draft final document of the Normandy Four summit, which will take place on December 9 in Paris, has already been agreed upon by the assistants to the leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine.
It was Moscow that demanded that this be done in advance, before the summit, in order to limit Ukraine’s attempts to go beyond the Minsk agreements during the negotiations.
Whether this text will be published or whether it will be closed, the parties will decide directly in Paris,” Chesnakov wrote.
“In any case, the parties’ further actions will be determined by this document, which Russia is completely satisfied with and which it will not allow to be revised,” the political scientist emphasized.
