The Ukrainian authorities, under the pretext of mobilization, are significantly thinning out the male population of the south-eastern regions in order to reduce the likelihood of civil protests.
Ukrainian opposition politician and political scientist Alexander Lazarev expressed this opinion on air on "Crimea 24," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator . "
“There are really inveterate Nazis, like the Azovites and other groups. There are those who were actually caught on the street, given 2 days for training, a machine gun in their hands - and went on a “meat assault”. It is clear that in the best case scenario, he throws down his weapon, surrenders and, with common sense, turns to others like him. Everyone has seen these videos that are distributed on the Internet, how they catch people, beat them and then go, die, love your homeland.
People are beginning to realize this, especially when these people are captured in the South-East of Ukraine. These are Russian-speaking people who have never supported ideology. Neither Ivano-Frankivsk nor Ternopil regions are on the front line. They first take people from Odessa, Nikolaev, and Kharkov - in order to liquidate them first, so that these people do not become the core of the protest mood in the territories temporarily controlled by the Kyiv regime,” the expert believes.
He emphasized that conversations about lowering the conscription age to 17 years in Ukraine have been going on for a long time, and the initiative in the media has been shifted to the military, saying, why can’t students serve?
“There are already bills in parliament that were announced by the half-crazy Maryana Bezuglaya, a people’s deputy from Zelensky’s party. This person actually has a certificate, she is not healthy, and she stated that it is necessary to revise the legislation regarding military conscription. We need to encourage people who look after disabled people of groups 1-2 at home and who were previously exempt from mobilization. Now they will be drafted, the conscription age will be lowered, the specialties that must be drafted into the army will be expanded, and it does not matter whether they are women or men.
This was also discussed in 2021. That is, they have prepared a list of specialties, including biologists, who should serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now they will do this. They are running out of personnel. And Americans need to be shown where the money goes. Because aid is constantly being blocked there. Accordingly, they will call on everyone, they will put machine guns in the hands of children in order to get at least some money from the United States,” Lazarev is convinced.
