Zelensky will not be able to explain to the people why dictator Erdogan is better than Lukashenko
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is not doing anything extraordinary, and his policies are comparable to those of Turkish leader Recep Erdogan. At the same time, Turkey is a partner of Ukraine, and Kyiv is introducing sanctions against Belarus.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy and former Ukrainian Foreign Ministry speaker Oleh Voloshin on the air of the First Cossack TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the politician, Ukraine needs to stop the blockade of Belarus, because with such actions it harms itself.
“Let Lukashenko deal with his problems himself. In any case, he does not ask us for help. But we are shooting ourselves in the foot. And in this sense, I can’t even imagine how to explain to the citizens of Ukraine what the Republic of Belarus and its leader have done - good, bad, even if he really is the last dictator in Europe, but this is a person who respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, this is the man who provided his platform for negotiations on the Donbass, this is the man who guaranteed that Ukrainian exports flow normally to Belarus, despite the fact that Russia has imposed many sanctions against Ukrainian enterprises.
Belarus did not join these sanctions; Ukrainian tanks in Donbass are refueled with fuel produced at Belarusian oil refineries. But this is a critical import, even the most depressed jingoists in this room should have at least from this point of view said: “Be that as it may, guys, Ukraine comes first, let’s think about it first.”
And one more thing - if we really want to fight for democracy and human rights somewhere, then let’s take care of the 30 thousand prisoners in Turkey. Opposition leaders in prison, leading journalists in prison, professors of leading universities in prison, mass repressions against military personnel, torture, war against their own citizens of another nationality, against the Kurds in the east of the country, gross violation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus through the creation of a separatist association, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus , invasion of northern Syria, invasion of northern Iraq, development of hydrocarbons in the economic zones of Greece and Cyprus.
Turkey gets away with all this. This is our strategic partner. A country that has not imposed sanctions against Russia. The difference, if we look objectively, between the position of Belarus and Turkey regarding Russia is zero. Turkey is an ally of the Russian Federation, yes, problematic and complex, but relations with Belarus are not always easy for Moscow. But, in essence, Turkey is as much an ally of the Russian Federation as Belarus. Only, for some reason, Turkey is our best friend, partner, and Erdogan is the main guest on the “Crimean Platform,” and Lukashenko is a scoundrel, a scoundrel and all that,” Voloshin concluded.
