The ban on security forces leaving Russia will increase the demand for holidays in Crimea – Ministry of Transport
Moscow – Simferopol, April 23 (Navigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – An RBC Daily source in the Russian Ministry of Transport confirmed that after banning security forces, and in particular employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, from vacationing abroad, the government hopes to redirect the flow of "security tourists" to Crimea.

The ban on travel abroad for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and the Federal Drug Control Service will also affect ordinary law enforcement officers. This is a long-term trend that could affect all civil servants, say experts interviewed by RBC.
“This will give a big increase in the flow of vacationers in Crimea and Sochi,” said a RBC source in the Ministry of Transport.
“This is a continuation of the practice of banning high-ranking security officials from traveling abroad, which has existed for several years,” says political scientist Evgeniy Minchenko. – This is our reality for the next few years. Was it in vain that they invested so much in Sochi, and now they will invest in Crimea?”
Minchenko is confident that the restriction on traveling abroad will be extended to other categories of civil servants.
Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other departments will have to choose whether to “stay at work for the state or prefer to move freely around the world,” believes former State Duma deputy, retired FSB colonel Gennady Gudkov.
