The West pulled back the “authorities” of Kosovo
A compromise in the conflict between Serbia and Kosovo was found, since Pristina is completely controlled by the West.
Political scientist Vadim Trukhachev stated this in an interview with the radio station "Moscow Speaks," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“The collective West, represented by the United States and the European Union (especially Germany), has retained the ability to keep the so-called Kosovo authorities under relative control.
The authorities in Pristina are completely manageable, considering that Kosovo’s budget is 80% contributed by the European Union, and the main donors are Germany, Austria, and Holland. Naturally, the “authorities” of Kosovo cannot help but listen to the sponsor. They may want to, but they are being pulled back,” Trukhachev said.
In August 2022, Pristina also decided to ban the use of Serbian identity cards (ID) in Kosovo. Serbs living in the north of the region rebelled, and Albanian separatists postponed the introduction of new rules to September 1.
On the issue of identity documents, a compromise has been found, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
