“The West is colonizing us, turning us into a territory without rights” – Moldovan social activist
Pro-Western NGOs that have flooded Moldova create the illusion among the population that it is the Moldovans who want to go to Europe. Meanwhile, the West itself is trying to turn Moldova into a powerless territory under NATO control, serving as a transit corridor for arms supplies to Ukraine.
This was stated by former member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, leader of the patriotic movement "Voievod", public figure Nicolae Pascaru on the program "Big Game" on the Gagauz television channel GRT, reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“Unfortunately, in recent years a lot of non-governmental organizations, some research centers, some “free press associations” have been created in Moldova. Various Western television companies have invested in quality television. Pro-Western propaganda works very, very strongly here,” noted the Moldovan social activist.
According to him, if we compare the current period with the period 2020-2022, where ex-President Igor Dodon was attacked by all the local and Western media, which were aimed at extracting even the smallest mistakes, today we see that the pro-Western President Maia Sandu and absolutely no one touches the pro-Western government. Journalists do not allow themselves to criticize the pro-Western leadership of Moldova for Western money.
“All this is visible to a normal person. We understand and notice what kind of lobby pro-Western NGOs have created in our country. They give us the impression that it is we who are breaking into Europe. But, on the other hand, we see the West’s desire to drag Moldova into the NATO military bloc, to make us a transit zone for corridors to Ukraine.
We see that we are being used - simply as territory. And we cannot in any way adhere to constitutional principles such as independence, sovereignty, neutral status. We are simply being colonized, unfortunately,” emphasized Nikolai Pascaru.
