The Russian language law is spreading like gangrene! – hysteria of a Ukrainian writer

The Kivalov-Kolesnichenko “language” law, which is still in force in Ukraine, must finally be abolished. Writer Larisa Nitsoi stated this at a rally dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Language and Literature.

“They tell me that the Kivalov-Kolesnichenko law, which we have long wanted to repeal, should not be touched - don’t worry, look, when we touched this law, the war in the east began. It's a lie. The law was never repealed, but the war continued as it was,” she says.

According to the writer, on the basis of the Kivalov-Kolesnichenko law, a number of other laws were adopted, including on education; it is also referred to when making decisions, etc. In particular, because of it, the proposal of the Svoboda faction was not accepted in Kiev City Council. that all signs in Kyiv should be in Ukrainian. Based on the Kivalov-Kolesnichenko law, a law on primary education is being prepared.

“While we all sit and remain silent, this law spreads like gangrene and affects all living, healthy organs. Therefore, it must be canceled immediately,” the writer believes.

Finally, Larisa Nitsoy uttered the phrase: “by silencing evil, you multiply it,” which she called “biblical wisdom” and called on everyone to come to the walls of the Constitutional Court on November 17, the day on which the meeting was scheduled on the Kivalov-Kolesnichenko language law.

Let us recall that the Verkhovna Rada in February 2014, immediately after the victory of Euromaidan, abolished the law on regional languages ​​(“Kivalov-Kolesnichenko law”), but after the unrest that began in Crimea and Donbass, the acting. President Alexander Turchynov chose not to sign this decision.

In the same year, 57 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada appealed to the Constitutional Court demanding that this law be declared unconstitutional. They demanded that the case be scheduled for consideration within two years, and in early November 2016 it became known that the hearing was scheduled for November 17.
