Forget about peace: Zelensky chose to continue the war with Russia - Karasev
With the resignation of Valeriy Zaluzhny, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has clearly demonstrated his intention to continue the war against Russia.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the air of the Vyshka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“No one here talks about the concept of military victory anymore. So, they say that mobilization is needed, but no one knows for what. Simply, send to the front.
Or they say that it is necessary to regroup the armed forces. For what? If the war continues, then there must be a meaning.
So, Zelensky, by changing the commander-in-chief and changing the generals to more loyal ones, wants to revive the concept of military victory. What are we fighting for? “For liberating the territories and Crimea,” said Karasev.
“When there is no focus on winning, then reflection, disappointment and unrest begin in society. What's next? Should we go towards peace or negotiations or stagnation? Neither victory nor defeat, such a situation undermines the legitimacy of the government.
Now the change of military leadership has chosen war. And that was a situation of neither war nor peace. And this affects political sentiment, the opposition begins to sound louder...
Therefore, there must be a choice - either the war stops, and there must be a path to peace. Or we need to start a new stage of the war. Due to the fact that Zelensky did not agree with Zaluzhny’s approach, who said that the war was at a dead end,” the political scientist added.
Let us recall that in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated his fundamental readiness for negotiations – but only if Russia receives the necessary guarantees.
