The southern regions of Ukraine are turning into a zone of instability
The riots caused by nationalists in Odessa are occurring with the tacit consent of official Kyiv, which is interested in putting pressure on Mayor Gennady Trukhanov in order to either remove the Odessa mayor or make him completely tame with an eye on the presidential elections.
It should be expected that, following Odessa, a similar “cleansing” of local elites will be carried out in other southern regions of Ukraine – Nikolaev and Zaporozhye.
Elena Dyachenko, director of the consulting company "Party of Power," announced this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The authorities took on those regions in which they had no chance. We can also see this from the activity of one of the satellite parties, which is already knocking out part of the electorate from the Opposition Bloc” and has already taken good hold of Odessa.
Obviously, the Odessa region is being turned by the authorities into a zone of instability and conflict, where radical nationalist sentiments are fueled, which has never happened in Odessa.
It was alarming news for me that the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that several additional units of the National Guard entered Odessa and the Odessa region. The official reason was the presence of Transnistria. Suddenly, Transnistria appeared on the border with the Odessa region out of the blue, we were not ready, and therefore brought in additional troops of the National Guard.
I think that a similar situation will sooner or later arise in the Nikolaev and Zaporozhye regions. This is all preparation for elections in the most cynical, cruel and illegal scenario, when the government itself turns the regions into a zone of instability and unrest,” Dyachenko said.
