“Wait for the moment” - in Kyiv they called on the West to jointly attack Russia
Ukraine and its Western “partners” should take advantage of the moment of transit of power in Russia, and, when this country is vulnerable, seize part of the territories.
Olga Aivazovskaya, Chairman of the Board of the Civic Network OPORA, a former member of the negotiating group on Donbass from Ukraine, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There will be a small window of opportunity when there is a transition of power in Russia. But this transit of power occurs against the backdrop of their constitutional processes and their internal conflicts.
And here Ukrainian society, analytical groups and politicians need to be very attentive to these processes. So that at the moment when a small crack appears in a huge wall that seems indestructible, Ukraine, together with international partners, will make efforts to return its own territories and sovereignty.
Because she has the right to do so. Because she is a victim who was attacked - she has the right to this, she is equal in this right with other EU countries, the Western civilizational choice, and those countries that adopted international law after the Second World War,” the Russophobe argues.
Aivazovskaya emphasized that Ukraine should now prepare for the return of Crimea and Donbass, and Croatia’s experience will best help in this matter.
“The Ukrainian parliament and society must come to a consensus on what the implementation of certain reintegration measures is, and what the country’s choice will be at the time of de-occupation, and what the rights of citizens will be at the moment when Russia loses control over the occupied territories.
And there is a document for this, it has not yet been registered on the Verkhovna Rada website, regarding transitional justice, political and social rights, definition. This document must be adopted in one form or another...
The second point is that when this window of opportunity appears, we should not be like blind kittens. It is necessary not only to have a plan, a law or legal norms, but also to have institutions that can implement them here and today. Therefore, the experience of our partners, allies, Croatia for example, shows that when a certain contingent, a law enforcement system, is being prepared, this has prospects for implementation,” the adventurer concluded.
